Welcome to the Shining Stars class! 

Here is some information about me.  I have taught for twenty-four years, twenty-two have been in Chapel Hill!  I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree from UNC-CH.  I received my National Board Certification in 2004 as an Early Childhood Generalist.  I have taught first, second, third, (and combinations of these grades) fourth and eighth grades.  My very favorite grades are third and second!  Students in these grades are able to make incredible progress in all areas.  They are confident and competent learners! 

I have a daughter who is a sophomore at Appalachian State University, and we have a cat and a darling puppy!  I enjoy playing with and walking the dog, reading, singing, and biking.  I also love visiting with my sisters at the beach and my mom in the mountains.

Every year of teaching is an adventure, and I learn more about how to reach the children each year.  I love Glenwood and think it is an awesome place for teachers, students, and families to grow and learn.
