- The Café de Glenwood is an event that happens every year at Glenwood. The servers and chefs are fifth graders. You can choose from a menu of Un Orangina, Une Limonade, Un croissant avec Nutella or Une Baguette avec la confiture. All classes from kindergarten through fifth grade participate. In order to participate everyone must only speak in French. Glenwood Gators look forward to this event

Students Earn Honors in Chinese Speaking and Writing Cotest

- Glenwood fourth and fifth grade Dual Language students participated in the 2012 North Carolina Chinese Speech and Writing Contest sponsored by North Carolina Confucius Institute in March.

Dismissal @ 1:45 on Tuesday (4/24/12)

- Students will be dismissed from Glenwood Elementary at 1:45 PM on Tuesday, April 24, 2012 to minimize expected delays caused by road closures related to President Obama's visit to UNC-CH.
The MECCA program has also been canceled for Tuesday. Students scheduled to attend this program will be dismissed per their normal transportation.
