About Glenwood

Glenwood Elementary is the oldest school in the Chapel Hill-Carrboro City School district. It was opened in 1953. Glenwood has had two major renovations with the most recent being finished in the summer of 2001.

  • Beauty Breakfast: A Celebration of our Diversity at Glenwood

    • The Café de Glenwood is an event that happens every year at Glenwood. The servers and chefs are fifth graders. You can choose from a menu of Un Orangina, Une Limonade, Un croissant avec Nutella or Une Baguette avec la confiture. All classes from kindergarten through fifth grade participate.  In order to participate everyone must only speak in French. Glenwood Gators look forward to this event
