The Chapel Hill - Carrboro City Schools Human Resources Department is involved in the personnel services surrounding the district's more than 1,800 employees.  As the third-largest employer in Chapel Hill behind the University of North Carolina and the UNC Hospital, CHCCS and its Human Resources Department face numerous issues including hiring, addressing teacher turnover and working conditions, monitoring teacher licensure, providing new teacher induction workshops, establishing mentoring programs and administering state benefits.
